Okay, first thing first – this blog post is a week late. T, I apologise sincerely. I discovered during my holidays that while my iPad can do almost anything and everything my laptop can do, it sucks when it comes to blog posts. But I’m home now and ready to get back into the swing of things, so lets go….
T. The mysterious single consanant T (whose full name is Theresa Pillow, btw, but I love just referring to her as T). My fellow International Heat member and a woman of few words, but whoa…when T does “speak” what she says is pretty damn impressive. T is a reviewer and her ebook review site, ebook Addict Reviews is one of the best and most honest review sites out there in cyber space. I’ve come to expect nothing but truthful and sincere reviews, something some times hard to find in a time of snarky sites.
Check out this review. T’s simple honesty comes through with each word, and as a writer, I know how important that is to an author.
I don’t usually read historical romances as a rule—they don’t much appeal to me—but something about Casa Rodrigo caught my interest and I was pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoyed it. Casa Rodrigo is a suspense-filled story with strong family ties and engaging romance.
The relationship between Alanso and Arbol is very dangerous, not just because of the times, but also because of who they both are: Alanso a slave owner and Arbol a slave. Their relationship is very emotional and draws you in right away.
Raul and Bernardo have a very unhealthy relationship, if you can even call it that. Bernardo needs to find the strength to end it and salvage his relationship with his son, but Raul doesn’t seem to see things quite the same way. Raul is very easy to hate and believe me, you will, whereas Bernardo is a little more complicated. I had moments of really disliking Bernardo but he really does redeem himself in the end.
Casa Rodrigo is not a Happily Ever After it is Happy For Now. I would be interested to see if the author has a sequel in the works for this story but either way it was a good read.

But what I love most about T is I know when T tells me something is good, or bad, it truly IS good or bad. And she cracks me up. It may only be a one word comment on the IH group, but that one word can make me snort with laugher so hard my nose hurts – the ultimate compliment from me.
