Here’s a little bit of fun. I’ve decided to “cast” Torr (my hero from Spaceport: Captured Rapture) and am leaning towards Gerard Butler as inspiration. Pretty damn yummy. Torr is an arrogant, dominating, intense hunk of a male and this image of Butler nails what I have in mind to perfection.

Here’s a tiny snippet of Torr, just to help you get the picture…

“You will lose the fight, Rai’nia,” Torr murmured against my neck before lifting his head to gaze into my eyes. “The end result has already been decided.”

Will “cast” Navarr from Bound By Desire later (now there’s a smouldering, brooding son of a vampire if ever there was one)

My next Changeling Press release is due to my editor very very soon (*waves* Hi, Chrissie) and I’ve been fooling around with something quite different for me. The mss started life as a 1st person super short, but as it went along it kinda evolved into a 3rd person slightly longer super sort. Now, it’s (well, will be) a 1st person short novella. Confused, yet? LOL You should be me for a day. I’m in a perpetual state of confusion…

Anyways, here’s a sneak peek of Spaceport: Captured Rapture. I’d love to know what you think.

Chapter 1

I never knew what hit me. One moment I’m skimming over the surface of Adana’s Beta moon, its dull red surface a blurred carpet below me, the next I’m flat on my back, wrists pinned to the powdery grit, legs spread, with a man roughly half my size again pressing down on me. A cock that felt like a Tellaxion viper – y’know the really big, thick ones they find in the Furthest Jungles – rammed at the junction of my thighs, shoving at the lips of my sex with a brutal force that should have pissed me off, but instead made my pulse leap away from me and my mouth turn dry.

I stared up at whoever-the-fuck held me down, glaring into eyes the colour of an angry Earth sky. A lone female on a Skimmer probably looked like an easy target, but for Shyke’s sake, I wore the uniform of an Allied Planet Enforcer. What type of idiot, no matter how desperate to claim a woman, jumped a cop? Especially one flinging across a moon at almost twice safe propulsion speed with an Aglaian Disruptor on her right hip? And left thigh?

“This kind,” the hulking man who felt made of granite murmured, jerking my wrists together above my head. He locked my wrists in one large fist and yanked my disruptor from its thigh harness before I could blink. Or digest the fact he’d answered a question I hadn’t asked aloud.

His mouth crashed down on mine, claiming my lips as his property. I could feel the possession in the fierce and frightening way his tongue invaded my mouth, plunging and plundering. Merciless and savage. Taking what I was not giving. Well, what I was trying not to give. Truth be known, I was getting aroused. More than aroused. If the man had reached between my spread, kicking legs right at that point, any point actually – the point where his teeth nipped on my bottom lip and sent shards of wicked pain into my centre was just a prime example – he would have found the crotch of my uniform damp with musky pleasure. I’d been kissed many times, by Raavelian Alpha slaves, by Nil-Raja Master-Pleasurers, but none kissed the way this… this… gods! this male kissed.

His mouth fucked mine. There was simply no other way to explain it. His mouth did to my mouth what a cock should do to a cunt. It delved deep, took everything and returned it all back ten-fold. His tongue lashed at the inside of my mouth, whipped at the edges of my teeth, mated with a need so untamed I felt the building pressure low in the pit of my stomach. Gods, I was going to come! From a kiss! A kiss!

Did you miss me? *grin* The holiday was wonderful. Exhausting, but wonderful. We went on a major theme park crawl, taking in Movieworld, Sea World and Wet ‘N’ Wild, as well as playing miniature golf, swimming and eating way too much food. Our suite was lovely, the pool divine, the weather gorgeous and the bed soft and comfy, and in all honesty, what else is important when on a holiday with two small girls?

I’m in the middle of making a mini movie of the fun and as soon as it’s done I’ll post it here for you all to see.

But, in the meantime, I have something to share. The cover for Spaceport: Hidden Phase by the very lovely, very talented Sahara Kelly. What do you think? Isn’t it yummy?

I’m going to print it on a t-shirt and give it away as a prize next month, so stay tuned.

Tomorrow I’m going to share another snippet from the book, as well as a sneak peek from one of my current WIP, One Bite, but right now I have to go stop Chickpea trying to climb into the dog’s kennel.

I kinda dropped outta existence there for a day. Just after I posted that last comment about the winner/s my husband told me he was giving me a BRAND NEW MacBook and needed to change everything over. Now….. to Iron Man. I am hopeless at writing review, so I apologise in advance. Iron Man was BRILLIANT!!!! Robert Downey Jnr is gorgeous and sexy and arrogant, the plot is fast, action-packed and (surprisingly) completely believable, the CGI is non-invasive and very impressive, and I even liked Gwyneth Paltrow in her role as Tony Stark’s PA. I wanted to walk back into the cinema and see it again, and probably would have done if it twern’t for Chickpea and Peanut waiting at home for me with our very wonderful sitter.

Naya Kistara stared out at the congregation, ignoring the enrapt expressions on the faces of the massing hundreds. Was it too late to take off? To steal a ship and disappear into Allied Planet space?

Reverent hands lifted her ceremonial robes from her shoulders and she let out a wry sigh. Definitely too late.

The cool air of the temple kissed her flushed, naked body, rippling her scented flesh into a mass of tiny bumps. She resisted the urge to run her palms up and down her bronze-dusted arms. She might be cold, but any moment now, the Sub-Priests would begin their mellifluous chants, the door to the temple would open and in would walk her future husband. Gloriously unclothed. Proudly aroused. Ready to take her prized virginity there and then on the Altar of K’Ryst.

What he first laid eyes on could greatly influence what she’d become after the ceremony.

Saving the people of Old Earth — her people — from annihilation was all very well and good, but she didn’t want to become a sniveling wimp in the process. If her husband saw a woman with dignity, spirit and strength, perhaps that’s what he’d think of — lust for — during the “Joining.”

Suppressing another sigh, Naya lifted her chin. She could only hope.

A commotion outside, like the smashing of a thousand panes of ancient Earth crystal, suddenly shattered the worshipful silence of the temple. A high-pitched wail came from outside, piercing and terrified, only to be whipped away and silenced by the roaring wind. Around her, the congregation began to shuffle, shooting glances at each other. Nervous.

Naya frowned. She’d yet to meet her future husband, but surely he didn’t require destruction to announce his arrival?

There was another wail from outside — louder and torn with agony — and as one the congregation gasped. Naya’s eyes widened. God save her, what kind of man was she to —

A shattering boom rocked the hushed temple, showering the Joining congregation with disturbed marble dust, rat shit and bird lice from the ceiling. Naya flinched, raising her arm to shield her eyes. Fine particles of grit fell on her shoulders, in her hair, and she brushed at her flesh, smudging the iridescent bronze dust coating her body. A swift intake of breath to her left made her start, and she turned her head, frowning at the attendant standing beside her. The man gazed at the strip of newly exposed flesh on her shoulder, and Naya couldn’t miss the sight of his pulse suddenly hammering in his neck.

“Deviant!” the High Priest snapped, barging between Naya and the gaping attendant. “Do not look upon the reiphia’s flesh!”

Naya started, giving the scowling High Priest a stunned look. He looked her in the eye for a split second and his face filled with heat before he turned away, stepping past the altar and raising his arms. “Do not be concerned.” His deep voice boomed throughout the cavernous room, bounced off the grimy walls. “All is well. The Joining will –”

With a sudden eruption of splinters, the Great Doors burst open. Naya squealed, ducking as flying debris flew all around her.

For a still second nothing happened, and then an icy Earth wind gusted through the gaping hole, lashing at her naked, vulnerable body, pinching her deeply bronzed nipples into rock-hard nubs of flesh.

Naya didn’t take any notice.

Because right at the very moment, ten massive men covered in armor and furs stormed into the temple. Ten men with intricately scarred faces and wicked weapons.

Ten men looking at her.

Naya’s heart leapt into her throat. Mentuan slavers. Mentuan sex-slavers.

By the Old God, she was in trouble.

Yes, I know, I’ve been MIA. I’m very very sorry, but I’ve been fighting a deadline and I promised my Changeling Press editor I would get my latest mss to her by the end of the month. I’m all but 1000 odd words away from typing “The End” (YAY!) on Spaceport: Highest Bidder and just wanted to pop in and say g’day, just in case you all forget who I am.
